Inpatient Detox & Residential treatment
At Brazos Place, we offer intensive residential treatment services that help patients recover from harmful addictions, change their lives, and accomplish important goals. Our programs are well-structured, and we provide a comfortable, nurturing environment to help achieve life-changing results.
Our recovery programs help people stop addictive behaviors and become healthier and more productive. We use well-proven treatment models.
Research has shown that addictions can be successfully treated using evidence-based methods. Based on the type of substance and how long it was consumed, our clinicians can determine the best treatment plan.
These treatment programs help patients become self-nurturing, confident, and independent. After successfully completing our intensive residential program, they’re able to engage productively in the community. Most importantly, we provide a full continuum of care, to help clients stay on track going forward.
Alcohol and drug detox
The body can heal itself naturally, even after long-time abuse. Detoxification (detox) is the first step in the healing process.
The body clears out the drugs and other toxins which have built up during active addiction. It typically lasts as long as 3 to 5 days.
During this phase, we often use medications such as Vivitrol®, Suboxone®, or Campral® to help relieve symptoms. Drug and alcohol detoxification includes several steps.
- Medical history & physical exam
- Full psychiatric evaluation
- Monitor the vital signs including pulse and blood pressure
- Plan for stabilization going forward
Inpatient detox and residential treatment for both men and women – Separate and gender-specific
Brazos Place treatment methods are designed to bring results for patients who are battling against multiple mental health and substance abuse issues. This approach is effective with patients in all stages of the recovery process.
At Brazos Place, we provide medically supervised inpatient detox treatment programs for both men and women. Men and women have distinct needs because they have different underlying issues that contribute to their addictions.
That’s why we provide separate, gender-specific programs. Separate rehab programs help men and women focus on their own individual progress, without outside distractions.
Treatment team
The treatment team is led by experienced, compassionate medical professionals. Our medical director, nurses, and chemical dependency counselors are licensed clinicians. We’re passionate about helping people achieve better outcomes for themselves, their families, and communities everywhere.
Fears & benefits of recovery
We guide patients along the drug and alcohol rehab pathway to long-term recovery. Most importantly, we care for patients in a supportive, nurturing way.
Addiction treatment is about learning and empowerment, and showing people how to overcome their obstacles. Fear is the most common reason that people avoid rehab.
They’re afraid of failure, or they’re afraid of suffering through withdrawal. The good news is that our treatment programs can overcome those worries.
In fact, identifying and understanding those fears is the first step toward overcoming them. With support from our professional staff, patients feel safe in confronting the past and moving forward in life.
Recovery offers many benefits:
- Better self-awareness and self-care
- Learn about self, and gain insight into addiction
- Dig deeply into underlying issues
- Build healthy new practices
- Set and achieve goals
- Establish appropriate boundaries
- Repair relationships with family and friends
