ADAPT Foundation, Inc.
ADAPT FOUNDATION, INC. IS A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION.
Established in 2011, the ADAPT Foundation is dedicated to eradicating bias and unfair treatment faced by individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges. Often, society wrongly assumes that those dealing with addiction or mental health issues can simply cease their behaviors. Regrettably, research has revealed that such biases persist within the healthcare sector. Discrimination against addicts and the mentally ill remains present in our communities.
Much of this stems from a lack of understanding and awareness about the causes, signs, and symptoms of addiction and mental illness. The ADAPT Foundation’s objective is to combat this prejudice and discrimination by providing thorough education to the public. Our aim is to inform people extensively about these matters and create a more enlightened society.
Our Efforts Encompass:
Guiding Conversations, Nurturing Communities, Disseminating Our Knowledge, and Promoting Transformation.
Operating within communities, we gain insights into the distinct educational, health, and economic hurdles encountered by those dealing with addiction and mental health issues. We stand alongside local and national organizations striving for alterations in public policies that influence the lives of individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges.
Our mission is guided by the principles of both racial fairness and civic involvement. We collaborate with like-minded partners who share these values.
